A beautiful smile never goes out of style.

Preventative Dentistry
Good oral health is achieved with daily care and regular visits to your dentist.   Dental health requires a systematic plan of daily oral hygiene.  By practicing routine brushing and flossing, you can preserve your beautiful smile.  With regular dental visits we can assist you with this task and by identifying gum disease and tooth decay early, we can avoid unnecessary discomfort and expense.

Routine Cleanings
Your initial Hygiene visit will be performed by a Registered Dental Hygienist.  Kelsey or Kyndra will perform an oral examination, oral cancer screening, charting, periodontal probing, diagnosis and treatment recommendations.  They will also review your health history, medications, take bite wing x-rays and panoramic x-ray as needed,  to make a proper diagnosis. Your teeth will be professionally cleaned and polished and a comprehensive treatment plan will be presented, if any follow up care is needed.

Oral Cancer Screening
Approximately 30,000 new cases of oral cancer are diagnosed each year in the United States.  According to the American Cancer Society, oral cancer occurs almost as frequently as leukemia and claims almost as many lives as melanoma cancer.  The routine, careful examination of patients is appropriate and necessary and is easily performed during a regular dental visit.  The state at which oral cancer is diagnosed is critical to the course of the disease.  At it’s earliest stage, oral cancer is more easily treated and cured.

Fillings-There are many types of restorative materials available for us, all of which are ADA approved.  Some of the most popular are:

Composite Resin Restorations-Composite restorations are conservative and aesthetically pleasing as a treatment option for areas of decay and fractures in teeth.  Using composite restorations allows the dentist to retain more of the tooth structure and requires less tooth reduction.  Many procedures can be done comfortably with no anesthetic at all.  The composite bonds to the tooth to support the remaining tooth structure, which helps to prevent breakage, minimize leakage and insulates the tooth from excessive temperature changes.  This material is very durable and is able to withstand chewing pressure.  Dr. Carr is able to match the tooth color, which allows for patients to enjoy a natural looking smile.

Glass Ionomer Restorations-Tooth colored restorations that release Fluoride to help fight tooth decay.

Dental Amalgam (silver fillings)- a tried and prove restorative material that is both durable and inexpensive.

Crowns (caps) and Bridges-Crowns and Bridges are natural-looking dental appliances that can replace a single tooth or section of missing teeth.  Because we custom-make our bridges, they are indistinguishable and can restore the natural contour, color and function of natural teeth. There are numerous types of Crowns available to the dentist today, all of which have unique restorative and cosmetic qualities.

E Max and Zirconia are all ceramic.  Their beautiful, lifelike, whiteness and depth of color, make them one of our most popular choices.

Porcelain fused to High Noble, has the benefits of both porcelain and gold crowns.  It is a rugged and attractive crown that combines the esthetics of porcelain with the durability of gold.
Cosmetic Fillings-Esthetics is an ever increasing demand of our growing practice.  Filling materials that are both durable and attractive, is the standard of our care.  Among the most popular types are:

Composite Resins
Glass Ionomers
All Ceramic inlays and onlays
Composite and Ceramic veneers

Cosmetic Dentistry
Cosmetic Contouring -A process of adjusting and polishing the enamel to counter the effects of erosion, wear, and time.  With a goal of restoring the luster, balance, and symmetry of your smile this is a simple, inexpensive and effective way of regaining the youthful smile you once had.

Veneers- A cosmetic procedure in which the teeth are bonded with a thin layer of polished composite resin or ceramic material to form the ideal  shape, color and shine.  The classic “movie star” treatment.

Zoom! In Office Bleaching- As seen on ABC’s Extreme Makeover, offers the best cosmetic teeth whitening available.  Of all the dental whitening treatments, whitening toothpaste, whitening strips, whitening gel and trays, and more, nothing whitens  faster.  Get an average of 8 shades whiter in just 45 minutes with Zoom’s innovative teeth bleaching system.
At Home Bleaching- At home, tray bleaching is the preferred method of tooth whitening for most patients.  It is effective, gentle, inexpensive and convenient and nothing has been proven to whiten better.  Simple impressions allow us to make a set of custom bleaching trays and with our supervision, you choose the length of bleaching time and the percent of active ingredient.

Cosmetic Fillings- Fillings don’t have to be ugly, with white composites, glass ionomers, and permanent ceramic restorations, no one needs to know you ever had a filling.

Cosmetic Bonding- Made popular by celebrities, Cosmetic Bonding is simple, fast and inexpensive.  Choosing either ceramic or composite materials, these veneers are as thin as 1mm and yet are durable enough to allow your normal function.  What a difference it makes to a patient that has never had the beautiful smile they wished.
